Background
Kodiak Shield Roofing is a company built on high-level craftsmanship and the promise of ultimate protection. When they came to me, they knew something wasn't working, they just couldn't name it. The market was ignoring them, and they didn't know why. They gave me full trust to find out.

The Challenge
The client was essentially invisible in their own market. Not because of poor quality, that was never the issue. They were speaking to everyone and, as a result, connecting with no one. A comprehensive brand audit surfaced the real problem: this wasn't a failure of execution, it was a failure of identity. Kodiak Shield hadn't yet decided who they were, and the market could tell.

The Approach
The project kicked off with a commissioned Strategy Phase. One clear directive: build the foundation before the walls.

The Audit: A deep-dive analysis of the market and competition revealed something the client hadn't anticipated. They had been leading with what they thought their customers valued most, without actually asking them. Our research uncovered a completely different set of priorities driving homeowners' decisions, ones that were going completely unaddressed. The brand wasn't just speaking the wrong language, it was missing the conversation that actually mattered.

Persona & Voice: Once we knew what actually mattered to their audience, we built everything around it. We defined the ideal customer persona and engineered a Tone of Voice specific enough to resonate deeply with the right people, and recognizable enough to stick.

Visual Translation: Only once the strategy was locked did we move to the visual side. The goal wasn't "make it look good", it was to make sure the brand's personality finally matched its look. The result was an identity system where every element had a reason to exist.

The Results
The impact was immediate. Within days of launching the new brand, Kodiak Shield secured a new contract. Within weeks, several more followed, alongside a sharp increase in inbound interest from potential clients. This wasn't luck, it was the direct consequence of a brand that finally spoke to what its customers actually cared about.
